Based on a scene in the final episode of Familiar of Zero season 2, in which Saito goes to battle against an army of 70,000 and dies to protect Louise. Before the battle started Louise got them each a flower called Eclair D'amour and that flower is what inspired this piece.

The Eclair D’amour is a magic flower held between two lovers. If one’s significant other dies the flower will die as well.
The drawing is of Louise yelling Saito's name after watching the flower die in her hands, signifying the death of her love. In this piece the petals in her hands and all around her are to show the flower dying and falling apart.
